Just talked to one of my local REVO dealer, it is out for some engine codes only, I think it has to do with the ECU issues for some 06s.

They asked me to stop by and check what my engine code is.

Looking to get it done this week, I'll keep you guys posted for updates.

Does anyone know what gains they are getting on the 2.0? Also, does the REVO work with 91 octane?

400HPA4 said it was available on the Vortex as of yesterday. I was just waiting until somebody posted up something about it. I want to see what Revo's got going on. Anybody know how much it is?

What I like to see, even the chances of me chipping is as remote as hell freezing over :) are dyno runs of a stock A4, GIAC'ed, Revo'ed, and APR'ed on the same dyno. perhaps there will be a chip shootout one of these days, but so far I'm pretty impressed with the capability of the 2.0T FSI!

My long wait seems to be over, but like Tanner said, I want to see some dyno 1st before I pull the trigger.

Awsome news, I may have to schedule an appointment sometime next week. Were the ecu issues solely with the 06' model years or were the 05.5's also problematic?

Mike , why are you so hesitant to chip your B7 ? Because of warrenty issues? I had my B6 chipped for the entire last half of my warrenty , never had a problem. Just switch it back to stock when you go see the dealer. They are clueless [:D]

I heard they're getting 306hp.

I've heard closer to 265hp/305tq. 300 hp is a little overzealous, I'm afraid.

I'm pretty surprised to see so many people here on the Revo bandwagon.....What is it that APR and GIAC are not doing for some of you to be holding out like this?

Just have always loved the quality of the revo software on all the older audi models. It takes them longer to develop the software, but they tend to tweak many more values than most other tuning companies, making their software some of the most extensively tuned and reliable software on the market.

Just a fan, thats all...

Anyone know if it'll have a stock mode like the APR to keep it hidden from dealer servicing?

I didn't get them from my ass. A dyno from a GLI 2.0T was release and numbers were 260hp/300tq. So my bad for being off by 5. But those were also EARLY dynos, so its very possible that they were able to juice another 5 hp/tq from the FSI engine.

As for the ability to switch to stock. Revo has the SPS system, which is a little box that includes several programs, depending on which SPS version you purchase. The base one allows you to switch quickly (and yourself) between stock and tuned. Other options include variable boost, valet mode (dumbed down), and kill. The details on the SPS system are at www.revotechnik.com.

I know I'll be testing/trying both the Neuspeed and the APR software. Dyno tests and all. Hoping to try the Revo as well, we shall see.

I'm pretty sure it's precisely 306hp, actually.

Well APR is getting more power out of the 2.0T VW's then the A4's.
This might be the same case with REVO [:p]

I heard from someone that works directly with the Revo USA regional office that the software would not be ready till the end of the month.

Wouldn't the VW be putting out more power due to less drive train loss opposed to the quattro?

I am really desperatly needing the revo for my B7 S4. I have heard so many great things about it that i am on the band wagon. Unfortunaetly i spoke to the revo office in CA--the 805 number listed and they told me it would be about another month or so. That tells me one thing. They want to make it right the first time--but the waiting is killing me!!'
APR just came out with their software for the B7 S4. I have not heard about the gains or anything yet, or if there is any problems. SO i am waiting to pull the trigger with REVO. GOD help them twiddle a little faster please!!
