I've been dying to get up there all winter but it may be another week or two before my meth system gets dialed in so we'll see.

Also the race schedule on the NE Dragway website now lists Friday nights as "Grudge Night" instead of Street Night, but I confirmed with Ron Heath the Race Director that they just simply renamed the Friday Night Street Nights and they still are in fact that same old street nights we've all grown to love and enjoy. I'm ditching the snows this weekend. I still need to make changes to my tune for the new engine also. My car is kind of a hot mess in the looks department right now with giant hood gap and missing headlight washer covers, but she's running great.

I'm definitely going up there, and weather permitting, I'll be at the track. Sounds like a few others will be there as well. We should park all the Audis together in the pits.

As long as there are no cords showing, you should be fine. The street night rules just say no bald tires. If you think you will run faster than 14 sec, you need to bring a helmet that is Snell 2005 approved or newer.

Not bad! Tip holds back ur launch, what was ur 60' and trap speed?

Was my first time as well. Best was 14.27 with poor start. Completely stock 15' S4 manul . With proper start I feel I get get it around 13, but a DSG car would be better and faster with launch control.

I'll be heading up there in a few if anyone's around. Should get there a little before 8. Dunno how much time I'll be spending in the pits but we could always hang for a bit after racing's done.

Boo adaptive transmissions. It always takes me 3 or 4 passes to get it into hard-shifting 'race mode' even in S, and the track was so busy and had so many shutdowns tonight that it was never really able to fully get going. Still hit a best ever trap of 108.73 even without tuning for the meth yet. Really excited to tune for it and get back up there on a night where I can actually make more than a small handful of passes.

(fucked up the launch big time on the 2.3 60' 13.3 pass, and the 12.8 was still a ways off from my best hit last fall. Chalking that up to the slushbox)

Thanks. A little disappointing I couldn't hit anything quicker than the 12.801, considering last fall I was hitting pretty consistent 12.6s. Especially since I had that run with the PR 60' time and was setting PR trap speeds pretty much every run all night long.

A TCU tune, or at least the ability to manually force it into 'track mode' would really solve all my problems. I ran into this same issue last year at the track, any time I spent more than a week or two away from the strip I had to 'reteach' my transmission how to not shift like a grandma. The first 3 or 4 passes it shifts terribly, then it hardens up big time and they get super snappy. Like DSG snappy. Just gotta power through a few 13 second timeslips and then I'm good, haha. Maybe next time I'll do some launches on some deserted road around the track before I get there so I'm not wasting precious runs.

No, I don't have anything like that to control my transmission. I was talking to a B8 S4 owner at the track and he has the option to select between a few modes (dynamic, comfort, etc) via a button on his dash which he said controls things like suspension damping, transmission shift points/quality and some ECU stuff I believe, if I'm remembering him correctly. I have nothing like that unfortunately.

I also talked to the maker of my ECU tune (Eurodyne) and he informed me that it won't automatically adjust for meth or race fuel either. Gotta go in and adjust all that stuff manually. So the increase in trap speed I was seeing last night was most likely just due to the lowered IATs from the meth cooling. Timing and boost maps were unchanged running on my normal 93 tune.

Def will some increase without adjusting ur map from cooling and slightly higher octane. But most will be gained by changing the tune for sure
