Is it bad for syncros to say , shift from 2nd to 4th ? Or skip any gears for that matter [confused]

I do that at times.... just let the RPM drop to match the gear.

I do that too (well, not 2->4), I do it from 4->6 a lot. you just gotta let the revs match.

No, that's what the syncros are there for. As long as you're in the right RPM range.
I downshift from 4->2 and 5->3 all the time, though I never skip a gear shifting up, I wonder why you would.

I skip gears shifting up all the time. Some of us live in places with traffic. So even when I can't truly enjoy the 2.0t, I still gun it up to second and then drop it into 4th once I'm goin about 40.
Speeding is only illegal if you do it in front of a cop. Unfortunately, there are a lot of them around, so I do what I can. I accelerate fast. [:D]

I don't think there's any thing bad with skipping gears as long as you're not forcing it into gear. I'm text-book, I just row through the gears and only skipping when down shifting.
