Hey hows it going guys... im just in the process of buyng my A4 and was wondering a few things.... when you put the sport suspension on, how many inches does it drop your ride.....

whats the lowest you can drop your car so that its not rubbing what so ever while sitting on a 19x9 shoes, ive never gone past an 18 inch rim so im new to the whole thing.... what company do you reccomend for coilovers, that give you around a 1.5 inch drop, im guessing nuespeed, H&R, and tein probally make the best....

the other thing i was wondering about is an exhaust system for the 2.0 turbo.... my buddy has nuespeed exhaust with a magnaflow muffler on his B5 A4 V6.... The reason why i like it so much is when he is driving on the highway it sounds like a normal everyday exhaust but when you step on it, it has a really deep throaty noise..... Now i know its like that because he has a V6 but is there anything out there that does that for the 2.0 four banger....

Well thats pretty much it for now.... thanks for your time and if you could help that would be great....

I think there is just too much in one Thread...

How low the car can go really depends on more than the diameter and width of the wheel. Offset and tire size will come into play here as well. With the right offset, you can tuck the wheels and go damn low. Then it depends on your suspension, to go the lowest you'll want to look into a coilover kit, which have threaded/adjustable perches.

And the B7 is still fairly new, not a lot of exhaust options out just yet. Many more coming to market soon and over the next year or so. We'll be seeing a lot of parts available, like there are now for the older B6 A4.

I am running 19x8.5s ET35 with 245/35-19 tires and Stasis Tracksports set pretty low and I do rub occasionally. It would be fine with 235s. 19x9s are pretty wide if you want to go low.

buy a ecu upgrade and dont say anything--then walk on him all day.

Its not about traction b/c that should be about even--weight i think he is lighter--and horsepower well i am not exactly sure what he is pushing. It usually comes down to driver most races these days. I mean you can obviously have the most hp and be a shitty driver and still win, but most of the time is who can launch the best and keep the shifts clean and quick. Practice some before you try him, it helps....

That year's WRX pushed 225 at the crank, I think. With a good chip, you should be close. Its also 400 pounds or something lighter. Is his car modded at all?
