Talking with the dealer on trading my B6 sedan for a B7 Avant, and I peered over at a Lava Gray A3.....this color is sick, it may be my new favorite Audi color. Anyone have an idea if Audi might introduce new colors into the A4 line for the coming new years (like Lava Gray), or do they generally maintain the same selection through to the new body design?

They do add and delete colors every half year or so. My old B5 was "Volcano Black" which is very similar to the "Lave Gray". It was only available on the B5 A4 for like 1-2 years. You should still be able to custom order an A4 in any current Audi color, it just adds another few months to the production time.

woa woa woa.....ur not saying i could order a B7 Avant in Lava Gray.....come on now, don't tease like that.....if that's the case, I'll work that deal tomorrow[hail]

If the dealer/salesman knows what's up, they should be able to do so. Again, it takes a bit longer...and I hear it ain't cheap. So you know, the normal turnaround on a special order car is 3 months, add a special order paint and it'll go up a bit.

actually, i'm talking with Eric L. over at SC Audi.....think he knows whats involved with this kind of order?
Let us know what you find out on this, when I order my next A4 I want to custom order it Nogaro Blue. I thought I heard it was around a $2k option, but i'm not sure.

ECA4.....yes, you can order any Audi color.....it's about 2 to 2.4K extra, and adds another 2 months to the regular lead time (about 4-5 months total).....in your case though, i'm not sure if they do discontinued colors....i believe the Sprint blue replaced Nogaro.

i do not think they do discontinued colors....but spirit did replace negaro

So what ended up happening with your new Avant purchase? Never heard, and I'm curious.

Oddly enough, the finance manager wasn't working well with Eric, and the numbers didn't add up.....so I contacted this guy from another dealership where I tried to capture a B6 they had, and they were able to work out the numbers where I wanted.....sadly enough, after thinking further on this, I am probably going to hold off until after the holidays because I want to take advantage off this custom order thing, so I'm gonna build up the cash to cover the custom order, and head back in around Jan. or Feb.......already told Eric about this, he said he's going to work with another guy, and make the deal happen.....so I'll be back at SC in a couple months.
