I haven't been keeping up on the boards as much as I should but is the S6 here in the US already? There is a silver one parked out in my parking lot (Irvine CA) but it looks like the 03' or 04' body style.
I was thinking that they might have just rebadged it but it looked pretty stock and clean.

They made an S6 in the B6 chassis.

you mean C5. The B6 is an A4 chassis.
Yes, they did make an S6 for the USDM. It was a later run ('02 and forward, I believe) and was only available in the US as an avant. It had the 4,2-litre V8 similar to the B6 S4 and D2 S8. My buddy's parents have one. Not bad. Not specatcular, but not bad.

I would say it's a bit better then not bad.....you can find them in the 30's and they have 340hp some on tap....and from my short run research they weight about the same as an S4.
A cheaper more exclusive car.....I would take it.

This one was a sedan, I've just never seen one before and didn't know if it was a US spec car or not.
People who bought those in 02' must have been MAD when the RS6 came over LOL

no, there was no sedan S6 in the US. The closest would have been the A6 4.2, which was sold with mostly the same trim in Europe as the S6. So it might have been a Euro-spec car that had been imported or likely just an A6 that'd been rebadged.
