HID concept is a forum sponsor and has good prices and runs sales often. Most importantly you can trust that the Philips and Osram are genuine.

Osram or Philips will have the best quality, although I've been pretty happy with my Morimoto XBs for less than half the price.

Have been curious about those. They seem to be a worthy consideration. I'm going to upgrade my C4 to HID since it already has the projector housing and I might go with those just because it will already be SUCH an upgrade from 20 year old halogens.

Here's the thread that convinced me to try the Morimotos: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/showthread.php?59209-The-Ultimate-D2S-Bulb-Test

I think my 01 4.2 is in need of more up to date bulbs. I think the ones in it are original.
What say you guys as to the best lamps to put in it?
Cheers,
G

Philips Xtreme Vision have proven to be the brightest bulbs after burn in, CBI a bit brighter out of the box. Also have the best beam spread (no narrow hotspot) Have a couple pairs of the Philips and whoa. BRIGHT!

I was just reading through the million page thread over at HID planet. Just too many opinions. I just want a good replacement bulb for the car. Not these overly blue things that remind me of JDM hairdryers coming towards me. LOL

Hid concept doesn't sell those bulbs because Philips and Osram do not make bulbs in ridiculous color temps. Any bulb will be satisfactory on their site. 4,300 Kalvin is factory and Philips makes 4,300- 6,000. They're all essentially white, can't go wrong. XV 5,000 Kalvin are the best.

i put morimotos in mine because they were the best bang/buck at around 50 bucks for the pair. I have not seen side by side comparison with philips or osram, if someone near Seattle is rocking those i wouldn't mind meeting up to compare. some pics i took of 12 yr old stock bulbs vs morimotos:
