View Full Version : Seat belt warning chime

Is it just me or is the warning chime for the seat belt very annoying. Even more annoying than the retarded armrest placement for those of us rowing gears.
Maybe it's the fact that this is my first Audi, but I'm pretty sure that on most other cars you get at least a few seconds after ignition before the car starts nagging you. Ditto for the passenger seat. The second the ass touches the seat all hell breaks loose.
Is there anyway to change this?

I was going to post the how to but last time I did, I got busted out by a mod saying it was the wrong way even though -2 is the way I was able to disable that chime. [;)]
Yeah that's the way I did it too.

So if I'm hearing right, you were able to disable it the warning chime all together right?

I've been waiting for this post suffering in silence (well, actually suffering to the sound of the damn chime).
Thank you all for the info.

Be aware that this also prevents you from using the parking lights setting (the one between Auto and On when looking at the headlight switch)

what do you mean it prevents the parking light setting? meaning the city lights won't turn on alone when you go to that selection?
will these work for the B6 too?

As far as I remember, it only disables the amber parking lights. The rears are lit and I think the city lights are lit too. I'll have to take a look again. I tried this trick with my B6 and it didn't work.

Yeah. When I wrote "parking lights", I meant the amber bulbs on the outermost part of the headlamps. The B7 headlights also have two white "running lights" on the inner most part of the housing. Changing to the Euro setting disabled the amber "parking lights" altogether, regardless of the headlight switch settings (but left those white running lights on)
I'll VAG my car tonight again to the Euro coding to verify, tho'

I wish I could run fogs and parking lights like the earlier B6's.

What do I have to do to keep the front fog lights ON all the time the engine is running/ignition is ON ?
I know I can just turn the swich on all the way to have head lights and fog lights on, but if I do that in day-time than my navigation is going in night settings. The navi is on auto-mode cause I don't wanna change the setting every time the sun is going away. So I just need to have the fog lights ON all the time without turning any other lights on.
Also, can I have all the inside lights (the red night lights-not the vision lights) ON in my car without turning the headlights/daylights ON ? Again, because of the Navi.
