Has anyone had a direct experience with XPEL Austin? Trying to do a little research before we get my wife's new car next year and would love to get some feedback before picking.
Im sure others will chime in if they've had work done there...what questions or concerns do you have?

I've noticed even for larger companies, the local shops quality of service tend to vary. I'm interested in what kind of prep XPEL Austin would do on the paint beforehand. I've had other 'detail' shops do prep (compound and polish) and it comes out worse than what it was when it went in. Just looking for customer feedback based on experience, it's easy for a shop to say "oh yes we do that well" but I like to see examples.
Also, my wife will be getting the Jaguar F Pace and I'm not sure if they'll need a template first or if it's all custom cut - and if it is custom cut, I'm concerned about someone using razors on the car...I've seen nice examples of cuts along the paint where the film was applied.

The new Jaguar is beautiful! As of right now we don't have a pattern for it, but we will need to get a template of the vehicle first. When are y'all taking delivery of the vehicle? If it is custom cut, we are capable of handling that at our XPEL Austin shop...If you'd like you could come by and check out the shop...see how the film is applied and how it works.
As far as prep goes, on a new car, we'd just wash and clay typically. This is just to remove and wax/contaminants on the paint before we apply the paint protection film.

When do you normally get patterns for new models? Do y'all need vehicles to use to test fittings? :)
I may stop by, obviously there is some time until it happens. The car isn't released until April or May next year.
It varies depending on the vehicle. I will send you a PM in just a moment about the vehicle.
