Hi guys, so I bought my 2005 S4 Avant 2 years ago, and the previous owner added an RNS-E and also added what I believe is the factory bluetooth module and microphone(not exactly sure). Basically I can connect my phone via bluetooth and speak on the phone, but cannot stream music via bluetooth. I do have an aux port that he added in the center console so I have considered just using a bluetooth dongle plugged into that, but I would prefer to keep the ability to use the phone with bluetooth. Please guide me.
Info I got from VAGCOM:

You can't stream via the factory phone module. If he's added an aux port, chances are it's coded for that input. So press the cd/sd button until it toggles aux, or you can manually select it from "source". You can then use your phone to stream music and send/receive calls through the RNS-E.

Hmmm thats unfortunate. Yes I do have the aux port working but then I need to plug into my phone each time, I was hoping to just be able to stream music via bluetooth. Is there any kind of module that I can add to the RNS-E to allow me to use the bluetooth for both phone and music streaming?

Kufatec I believe makes an aftermarket module for both phone and music.", but none of their stuff is cheap although plug and play. Does your car have the factory iPod dock or cd changed? Search for tune2air on this site. Plenty of threads on it.

@jining, what kind of a port did he add? If its an ami connection, there is an audi bt adapter that you can plug in and it may work. You end up pairing to two devices with your phone. One for the phone calls and another for bt audio. I am looking at a b7 s4 as well and would like the similar setup. Any chance you can post the connector that was installed? Ill look for the part number of the audi bt adapter.

Both of these adapters will give you bluetooth audio on an RNSE.
The 2nd one shows text but needs steering wheel controls to function.
