as some of you may know, im assembling a custom exhaust and it will be assembled ASAP. i need to know where to find a 2.25" downpipe for my system. ive found techtonics tuning but thats 2.5", and i dont want to go from a 2.5" dp to 2.25" piping all the way to a magnaflow muffler. i want to imitate the borla sound for a fraction of the cost, and even make it sound better and sportier. now all ill need after a 2.25" dp, is a resonator. where the hell do i get one of those? should i just let the muffler shop find me a good resonator? please help me

just go 2.5 piping and dp all around why go 2.25? I cant imagine why you would want 2.25 over 2.5.

you can use your stock resonator, you can tell the exhaust shop to get you one or even you can also find a resonator on ebay

i would love 2.5 over 2.25 but after hearing dtmevolutions system,

i really am not crazy about the sound of his system at all ( no offense dtm) maybe its the fact that his system is non resonated, or that he has a stock cat or what, but i really dont want my system to sound like that at all. i guess im just scared that it would sound like his if i got 2.5 since he has the same muffler that i really want. i would prefer 2.5 but im scared of the sound. i have a testpipe also, and k04

ummm 2.5 and 2.25 is not going to be a big difference in sound if anything 2.5 is going to sound a little deeper and better

just get 2.5 and a resonator. i have 2.5 w/ a testpipe and it's really damn loud. will be putting in a resonator very soon.

like others are saying, it's likely not the 2.5 inch piping that is creating the sound you are not so fond of in that other guy's system. think about it: there some nice sounding systems out there with the 2.5 inch pipes rather than 2.25.
