I have been in and out of the dealership 4 times with my 2014 A6 for the same issue. VIDEO HAS TO BE SEEN TO BE BELIEVED (see below). Audi now claims that they released the vehicle to me twice as a "extended test drive" and has only issued 2 work orders. I have lost complete confidence in the vehicle... seat moves when driving, engine rumbles, starter gets stuck, MMI display nests and pops out randomly, AC turns on and off and hot and cold on its own along with 26 other alets going off randomly while driving. What are my options? Lemon Law? I am in NYC.

sure sounds like one. someone here should get you in touch with someone at Audi who can take you seriously and get something accomplished. remember, if you go this route, be patient, and be very polite to everyone involved, you'll be surprised how well things can turn out.

Look up the lemon law procedure in your state and follow the procedure EXACTLY as it is spelled out. Document every call, discussion, and visit.

Looks like an issue with one or more of the control units, wiring harness, communication and/or a grounding issue. How can you even drive it like that? Read up on the exact requirements for the lemon law, and make sure you follow them exactly and document everything. Take a video, with date showing, each time you have the same (in your case, multiple) issue. Love the comments from your "helper"... :)

First thing you do is call audi of america. They are very good about working with you and service to make sure you are happy. From what I've seen, if there is something wrong they don't fight you on making it right.

You are right. You have to see it to believe it. Please keep us posted.

I have a 2016 A6 TDI loaner today. In the 8 or so hours I've had it:

Pre-sense Plus not working with error message
Driver's side window refuses to stay up
Gas gauge swings from 1/2 tank to empty to quarter tank, with error message.

Car has 4200 miles on it. Tell them you want a new car.

If that was my car and it was out of warranty... I'd be looking at the alternator, a voltage regulator on the battery, the battery, and tracing all grounding points. For the LOLS I'd plug in VCDS, but it's probably got a million errors logged.

If it was in warranty, that would be at the dealership.

If I'd only just got the car, or the faults had been present for most of my ownership, I'd be rejecting it.

I would talk to Audi US. I just got my 2014 A6 two days ago and the EPC came on. Brought it back in and they fixed it at Bell Audi, no paperwork. It was an oil sensor. Almost anything serious and minor can cause the electronic gremlins to rear their heads!
