Got my coilovers installed yesterday, can't really give a full write-up yet because the weather here is horrible, but I can tell you the wet traction with Quattro and Coilovers is amazing[drive]

My car is filthy, it has been raining here in Jersey for the past 8 days so I haven't had anytime to wash it, but I will have pics up this weekend after a good detail. The thing is pretty much dumped, there is about a little less than a finger gap all around. If it settles any more I may have to raise it a little.

Looks good! Is the ride still comfy or is it stiff?

It honestly still feels almost stock, which is amazing considering how low it is. It's deffinatly a little stiffer than stock, but still very comfortable.

Thanks, yea when we finished the install we threw on a set of Sevas and they looked amazing with the drop and my color, but I think i'm going to chip it first and then after the sh*ty jersey winter i'll get a set of iForged or the Neuspeed wheels in black with the polished lip[:D]

How does it ride?

ECA4

Ride is as close to stock as your going to get. Despite how low I have the car, it still feels just almost identical to the non-sport suspension except for the fact that now there is almost no body roll and the car is glued to the ground.

I have a lot of wheels i'm looking into, BBS LM's are on top of the list but I think someone else on here is getting a set of LM's on their arctic white so I may have to try something more origional. I may save up this winter and buy a set of DPE's in the spring.

LM's would look really good.

hey i was looking at dumping my car just like you but i have a few questions for you.....what type of coilover set did you use....how many inch drop was it.....and do you rub when you hit a big dip in the road or when you turn really sharp....thanks alot

mac

The coilover set is called the STaSIS Street Sports, they are essential the same coilovers you can buy from Koni whith the exception that the STaSIS versions are pre-set to what they think is the best specs and setup.

I came from the non- sport suspension so the car had about a 2-3" gap from the begining, then I lowered it so there would be about a finger gap all around. The suspension settled a little more and there is alomst no gap what so ever.

When we were first adjusting the suspension we had it a little lower and when we went for a simple ride around the parking of the shop it started rubbing so we had too raise it a little. Right now it doesn't rub, bumps are fine, turns are fine even with a person in the back it's fine.

Here's a pic of where it's at as of now:

well thanks for the info....would you recommend getting the sport suspension as an option or just the normal gear....so do you really enjoy your setup or do you think its really harsh....cause right now i have my J Spec Honda Crx bagged on 17's and i hate it, its so harsh and i dont want that on my Audi.... do you slow down at all when approaching imperfections on the road or can you hit them full speed and it doesnt rub, cause that is really important to me that it doesnt rub.... does this STaSIS company have differant lowering heights or do they just have yours

thanks for the info

Japanese suspension setups are vrey different from European setups.

The STaSIS Street Sport setup allows the ride height to sit where EC has his.

Mac,
The ride is no where near rough or harsh at all. My friend has stock suspension on his B7 S4 and I honestly say after riding it, the feel over bumps and uneven roads is almost identical, and my car sits about an inch or two lower than his car. My ride won't even remotly comparable to that of a slammed crx, like comparing apples to oranges. Like Jeremy said euro cars have a very different set-up.

I do still slow down every once in a while for huge bumps or dips, but thats only to make sure I don't destroy the bottom of my car or bumper. As of now i haven't had any rubbing issues and being the suspension is about two weeks old, I don't think there will be much more settling of the springs.

The only issue that may come is when you run more optimal wheels with a moderate offset like et35. The stocker et43 wheels sit far inside the fenders. Let us know what happens when running the aftermarket rims. One thing to do for the fronts is to take out the top most screws in the fender liners. Can you raise your rears at all? cheers! Mike

Yea it will be interesting when I get wheels, probably going to have to put it up a few notches. Yes the rears are height adjustable as well, we had to raise the rears a little bit when it was fisrt installed. Not sure how heigh they can raise and it's really not a concern for me being the car will be raised very slightly if any.

Doesnt have to. You should be able to dial it out and creat a 1/4" positive rake to help counter the understeer with a proper aftermarket suspension. cheers! mike

They didn't settle much more than when I first installed them on the car, I would give it about 1/8"-1/4" difference to compensate for any settling.

The car is actually lower in the front than in the rear.
