Is there going to be that much difference in drop between the OE sport springs and Neuspeed Sport springs considering the OE sport springs are supposed to be lower than the non-sport? Do manufactures base the drop against the non-sport suspension?

I'm looking for a good alternative route than coilovers since I will just be driving on the streets and have no need to adjust the height.

There will be a considerable drop from sport with the NS. In fact, I was sitting at 24.75" on the lighter weight B6 with those springs. That will run any aftermarket damper out of their range. I might suggest Eibach. cheers! Mike

Would you happen to know the range of Koni yellows? Would Eibach sport springs or equivalent and Koni yellows be a good comfy combo?

So I have a pretty stupid question: what exactly would replacing stock springs (sport or non-sport) with Eibach Prokit / sportkits do besides lowering the car? Does doing something like this positively or negatively affect handling? or is it done only for looks?

Not stupid questions at all. Actually very difficult questions since so many factors are involved.

Can lowering the car with springs help or hurt the performance of the handling?

The answer is BOTH. It depends on the springs used, their match with the dampers, and the desired outcome of the user.

For example using shorter springs with exactly the same spring rates as OEM matched with the stock dampers on the car may very likely result in much worse handling and ride due to the springs being ridden outside their valving ability.

Since our cars are heavier than the B6, it is even more important to use the right spring.

Since a lot of the info is still new on the spring rates for the current OEM and sport suspensions, I would start using as mild of a drop spring as possible from the B6, such as the Eibach with an upgraded damper (don't reuse the sports) such as the Koni or the Bilstein Sport adjustable.

cheers! Mike

Should i Not Install my PSS9 from my B6 if this is the case? Do you know if the Shock is the same as the S4 and all i would need to do is swap out to S4 Springs?

Shouldnt be a prob at all. The valving is different, but using the A4 ones should be just fine as they are already overengineered and using well over 500lb springs which we know are stiffer than stock. It was just the progressive springs out there that are usually about 400/300 or so. cheers! Mike

So, are Eibach pro-kit springs better than NS sports because of the greater spring rate? What about H&R sports?

$500 is ok. Not cheap, not a ripoff either.

No, the Eibachs dont necessarily run more spring rate, none of the progressive ones out there do run much more. I like the Eibach for the B7 because they are not as aggressive of a drop so you can still have some use out of the dampers you decide to run. cheers! Mike
