my sunroof is glitchy, when i have it set to close, sometimes it will crack the vent...

and when i set it to open the sunroof, sometimes it wont open all the way, and every couple seconds it will move itself...

its possessed, is this an easy fix or should i just pull the fuse for good?

mine has been acting real funky as of late also. when i'm closing it, if i don't turn it extremely slow it will go halfway and stop.[headbang] next question is how much will this cost to fix [wrench] [=(]

try a search - I saw a thread a while back for a DIY on cleaning the sunroof potentiometer (switch). Apparently it works great if done right. I think this was for the older style switch.

My switch intermittently worked. It once took me a while to get it closed with it started to rain. Dealer swapped it out under warranty no problem. works like a charm now.

i opened up the switch and cleaned it off with some alcohol, works like a charm now...

You guys know there a manual crank for the roof right? Incase the switck fks up, it's in the fuse box cover.

THIS IS FACTUAL INFORMATION. IT'S IN THE OWNERS MANUAL.

yea, but thats if the sunroof loses power, try moving the sunroof with that crank if the sunroof actually works... didnt budge in my car...

My switch was going crazy as well, had it replaced under warranty. Very common, so if you have warranty take full advantage of that.

At first I thought my sun roof was haunted. I guess I'll have to clean the switch as well.

yea, at first when i did it, i knew i took a bunch of junk off the contacts, but i was still doubtful that it would do anything, and for some reason was suprised it worked, but im glad it did

I had same prob. about 6 mos. ago, cleanded the switch and the rails (dirt in there can cause sunroof not to close) and I haven't had a prob. since.

Hey Anth....

If someone were to submit it that would be a great addition...don't think you'll find Anthony with the time to create the entry
