A clean car says a lot, but the real talking starts when you open the hood. So if you're looking to make a statement, you'll need a clean engine compartment that says “high class”. If this is for you, we have the perfect solution!

Straight from the engineering masters at ECS Tuning comes our new oil dipstick, and we promise, this is a lube-level like no other. With a billet aluminum handle and stainless steel cable, the quality is second to none. The butter-smooth grip is easy on your fingers, and the easy to read stainless steel indicator is the best there is.

ECS Tuning's Billet Engine Oil Dipsticks feature:

Comprised of 1x7 stainless steel wire rope, topped off with a billet aluminum 6061-T6 handle finished in one of three color choices (Polished, Black Anodized, & Silver Anodized).

Stainless steel bullet shaped indicator designed to match up with the OEM specified 'Low' and 'Full' oil level marks.

All dipsticks are pull-tested to ensure a rigid, crimped connection and every handle has pre-installed dual viton o-rings for maximum sealing capacity and oil/fuel resistance.

Awesome. Will probably pick one up this winter. Was waiting until the tube was developed too.

Now just put out a billet coolant flange.

I think it's awesome ECS is producing decently-priced (IMO) parts like this. Haven't seen a nice dipstick/funnel produced by anyone else. Looks great too! And nice instructions.

That's a shame. Why just the 06A motor?

Yeah, would love to see this available for the AEB as well.

You guys don't know a billet dipstick is already available for 058 motors, do you?

One less part we have to pay tooling costs on.

Yeah, would love to see this available for the AEB as well.

To be honest I think if you change out the lower portion of the dipstick from the 058 block to the 06A one you can use our billet upper and dipstick. We just have no way of confirming it as no one here has a vehicle with a 058 block. :/

I do know and own one actually. I was not able to get it to fit properly. I've contacted Gruven and they were willing to help me out in terms of figuring out what's wrong and offered a refund if we couldn't make it work, but I just haven't had the time to follow up.

I'll make the trip up for fitment tests if you want to do the work, or if you send me the dipstick, I could try it [;)]

Appreciate the offer. Wadsworth, OH is quite a drive for a test fit. It would be tough to say at the moment when we could schedule something like this. Likely when were ready we'll see if someone locally can loan us there vehicle if it's something we want to look into.

Unfortunately all the testing and R&D we do is in house so we wont be sending out parts unless they are paid for previously.

BE advised: the orange funnel will break, it shaped off all the way to the bottom. A "little hit" don't push it done either. Still can't snap it the new funnel. Need to bend the little things because they bend out. This is a bitch.

Sounds out of the ordinary. We test fit this on more than one vehicle and it installed with ease. It is a tight fit, but a little lube on the o-ring and it will slide right on.

Jason, it was brought to attention in another thread that the product listing specifies for 2000+. Year 2000 is ATW engine code, which shares the 058 block with AEB. As shown in earlier posts in this thread, this billet dipstick tube/funnel doesn't fit AEB engines.
So it seems the listing should be corrected to 2001+, when Audi switched to the 06A block, no?

That would be correct. I'm having this changed now. Our billet funnel will only fit 06A lower dipstick tubes.

For B5 we should have it outlined in red by engine block code not cylinder head.

Don't fit on my car. Returning. Sits too high, don't even read the oil level.

Did you install it on the vehicle in your sig line, aka a 2000 with an 058 block?

No idea about the block, ATW. Sat too high, not like the instructions pictures.

ATW is 058 block. I can't imagine ATW and AWM use the same oil tube since they are different blocks.

ECS, why do you say it works on ATW and AWM, but not AEB? Have you confirmed ATW fitment?

Read a few posts up... This only fits AWM or 06A engine blocks. It was an error and is corrected.

And when you click on the color choice, and then click on "Fits these cars" it says it fits all b5's.

Just trying to help stop potential confusion.

Sub model is either FWD or Quattro so nothing we can do there.

The other text should be fixed shortly. But regardless if you log in under your vehicle it will pop up as it appears in the screen shot.
