I know, I know this has been beaten to death. I just can't find a real answer for the 07 as most of the software updates seem to be 05-06 range from my reading.

On an 07 with tiptronic, is it LF 6 or 8 that needs to be used? I'm also considering Redline D6 but want to atleast know what the Lifeguard fluid is for this tranny?

It's most likely LG 8, the green stuff that is comparable to G060162A2. I had the same question last month and ended up calling the dealer parts department under the guise of wanting to buy ATF from them. I asked them what kind I needed and they looked it up according to my VIN. They said G060162A2 at $42 per quart. I bought the LG version cheaper elsewhere. Mine's an 07 with tiptronic so it's the same as yours but you may want to have the Audi parts dept cross reference your VIN to be 100% certain.

Thanks! I am on the fence about the Redline D6 just due to the software updates and torque converter issues that these vehicles have.

Redline has worked well for many, but this guy had issues with Ravenol and Redline:

The only way to answer this question is to have the car VAG scanned and see what transmission update is present. It's probable that the car has been never been updated and the older fluid is required. If it has been reflashed by the dealer to the new fluid and flushed (three times, I think) than new fluid is required.

Scanned and I have 0050 software, thus I suspect that is LF 8 fluid.
