View Full Version : Reflectors orange and red????
Ok so no doubt the orange and red reflectors are not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as they would be if they were body colored but really 400 dollars to purchase body colored set..... That's insane.
Anyone just pop them out and paint them???
Any other options. I can't Inagine spending that kind of money on plastic covers. What's everyone else doing it done to remedy this situation.

I had mine tinted. My tint guy didn't even charge me, took him 20 minutes and they take the sharpness out of the red and orange.

If you have a black or white car, I would use plasti dip and clear coat! Sooo easy and peels off when needed!!!

That's what I was thinking. Do you think you need the clear coat??? Do you have pics?

Unless you want it matte. If you want it glossy like your paint, it will look better with the plasti-dip glossifier on top. I don't have any pics on me now, but I have done the reflectors on my girls GTI. I have also plasti-dipped my previous S4's antenna and symbols. I was very happy with the results.
Its super easy if you watch some of the dipyourcar.com videos

My tint guy wouldn't tint my side reflectors in the Benz, I was kinda pissed.

I popped out the front, the rear was harder for some reason but i just tinted them you can have them painted once you take them out, you can do it yourself depending on the color of your car. Or have it wrapped to your color.

I was thinking about doing that wasn't sure how it would look Bc I have the mythos black but it's better than buying they are expensive. Plus if it's not to aesthetically pleasing just pull it off. It's inky like 6-7 can!
