I had these shipped in preparation for the install Monday on the new 2006 B7 A4. They are the Bilstein PSS9 coilover system utilizing on-car single adjustment compression and rebound ratio controls with huge monotube absobers and linear rate race springs (a progressive helper spring is in there as well) used in the B6 S4 application. This is a similar setup that took my bro a first place regional championship in Canada in his B6 A4. This season I placed third in the regionals (was in first until having to swap cars for the last race of the season) with my B6 A4 and I am hoping this setup will give me the edge for the B7. The B6 S4 HSport swaybars will unfortunately not arrive until next month. A modified TorSen is planned for November in order to increase rear ratio to 4:1 or as much as 80% power to the rear wheels instead of the stock 66% capability. This modification will be handled in house locally and is looking to be a very inexpensive mod. Baseline dyno testing will also be performed Monday. cheers! Mike

Awesome, can't wait to hear your thoughts on the PSS9s on your B7, as well as all of the other mods you have planned. I am especially interested in Torsen mod. Please keep us posted!
Got home to find these at my door:

Hopefully i'll try and find some place that will put them in tommorow so I could have them ready for Show & Go this Sunday, but I doubt i'm going to be able to just call up and get them installed same day. You haven't done your 5k service yet have you?

I'll keep y'all posted.
Congrats on your new ones as well. I only hit 1,000 miles this week. I guess i'll do my first change at 2500miles, then let the dealer do the 5K (they have a slush fund to order customers exotic oils if you ask very nicely) then i'll abide by my routine 5K mile OCI during the off season. cheers! Mike
Yea i'm just afraid they are going to screw me royally when I go in and they see the suspension on.

I Have my PSS9 sitting in the Trunk along with My H-Sport Sways from the S4 also....the only difference is my PSS9 are from the A4 not the S4 how much a difference you think that will make? I should be installing mine real soon just waiting to hit 5k miles for service as soon as it comes out there going on.
This weekend i got my Front covered with the 3m Clear Bra the whole front clip including lights and Fog lights also got my S4 door blades on and the front filler plate on.

Im waiting because i have a tremble in my wheel and i want to make sure its not the suspension...they already balanced the wheels twice and it still does it so next is see if its the tires... if it is then that way they can swap my tires under warranty.... After then its modding time..i have so many nice goodies coming in that i cant wait to show you guys... time will tell.

Mike - i just read up on the Bilsteins a bit and heard reports of a few problems. They were installed on a Porsche 996 and they had an issue with the shock loading up at the perch at slow speeds, and then unloading with a loud BOING. Apparently this problem was fixed by adding a few thrust bearings under the spring. Anyway I know your set up is new but was just curious if you noticed this at all since the 996 is a 4WD car also. Obviously they are two totally different cars but just something i thought i would point out.

Hi John,
No problems doing mountain runs so far. My bro has them on his B6 car that took the regional autocross championship and he has run them for two years w/o probs so hopefully this isnt and issue for us. cheers! Mike

Thx! just trying to sponge info from the knowledgable ones!! [:D]

The S4 coilovers use approximately 70 more lbs of spring rate and the valving is stiffer in the dampers. I got mine from www.neuspeed.com which has the lowest price. cheers! Mike
