current issue of automobile magazine claims the new gen 7 will debut for 2017- doesn't clarify whether this means 2017 calendar year or 2017 model year (ie really 2016). disappointingly, article suggests power to be 575; new e63 and m5 rumored to have over 600 in chase towards cts-v's 640. wondered if other members had seen more on this?

I cant even hint at this being remotely possible. Even though things come out first in Europe, the updated 2016 model just came out. There is a 3 year lifespan on updates. I wouldnt expect the next model until 2019.

honestly i think the articles i've read, states that they've made big decisions on the direction of the 7 and will be going forward as of 2017...i agree...we won't see a EU new model until 2019 and 2020 for US

That's some serious power in the A series -- current A7 makes 333 hp. Did you mean S7?

I was thinking the same thing. Quite a jump in horsepower.

575 hp referred to rs7. with competitive nature of this segment and m5 and e63 soon to have all new models and all companies fighting for increased sales, have no reason to doubt AUTOMOBILE's projections.
