Tires are WAYYYYYY FREAAKIN LOUD! Anyone else experience a really bad hum coming from the Dunlop sp sport fm901?? I hope they are balanced, but the reveiws lead me to believe they are very loud tires to begin with. I'm going to buy new tires and refinish my rims in the winter, any suggestions on a high performance summer tire at about $100 a piece?

I ran them on my jetta and had no problems w/ noise at all. [confused]

The stockers I just took off were Fuzion ZRi's. They sound 10000 times better. You can't hear them at all. I might go back to the Fuzions.

fm901s are shit. they are "rice" tires. they suck dry, wet, wear, ride and noise. they're cheap and look "sporty".

I'm comparing them to ~100 tires.

I have DUNLOP SP SPORT MAX and they are pretty good. I used to have Pirelli P6000, they were loud compared to the Dunlop !!!
Hankook are quiet but also they get done pretty fast.

There could be a number of things making the fwy buzz. Check the tire rotation direction to make sure they were installed right. Maybe even check to see if there are any tears or gashes in the tread.

The tires on my car pulled down the fender sheet metal once without me noticing, and the next time I hit a bump it tore a nice gash in my tire, and made the worst buzzing ever.
