big boo-boo... Left the windows down and sprinklers hosed the inside of the dash... fortunately everything works except the screen flip up module...

Any ideas on costs of the screen item and how to replace it? Im guessing it is a screen with a wiring harness that clips somewhere behind the dash..

Ideas/thoughts and or links to any how to's for the do it yourselfer?

appreciate any help!! 2012-A6 Premium..

Let it all dry out then go in for warranty coverage. Done.

And hope they don't have a way to test for water damage (damn you Apple and your color changing sensors [mad])

Dude just file a claim on your insurance under comprehensive. My good friend works at Audi and says that they can definitely tell

Deductible + rate increases? Depending on cost to replace might not be worth it.

I wish they gave you an option to leave it up. I never drive with it down and there is no need to hide it when I'm not in the car.

Viagra? [:D]
But most people refer to their car with a female gender so I'm not sure that it would help.

The screen replacement DIY will be useful in the years coming (post warranty - as the wear n tear of screens going in and out is going to ramp up into failed units in the coming years).

good point on the warranty part.. i am under the 4 years and under the 50k miles so I could bring it in for that and have them do it.. Otherwise I am guessing it is just a snap on bezel around the screen something like this..

fortunately the screen itself doesn't appear to be too expensive... everything else works fine.. appreciate the suggestions guys..
