I have 2007 S4 with Symphony 2+ and Bluetooth for phone calls but I want to be able to stream music/podcast from it. I m sure there are ton of similar threads with similar topic. I just want quick answers. What kind of a set up do you have for Bluetooth music streaming and how do you like it? Would you do it again? And how much did that cost?

Thank you in advance.

I've been researching this recently as well; reading into the OEM factory unit, and discovered it does not support A2DP profile, so it won't play music through your phone and will only handle phone calls. The retrofit is also the most costly of the options with the lessened abilities, the plus side is that it communicates with the car very well, as it will stream your phone call information to the DIS, and operate with the steering controls with little work than the other options.

From what I've found on the aftermarket side, people have used the Dension Gateway, and Grom. These aftermarket options seems to be in the ~$160 range, which makes them seem like the most practical, but there's just an odd allure of having the overpriced OEM integration.

Thanks. $160 doesn't sound too bad. I currently have kenwood unit which does Bluetooth streaming, built in garmin gps, hands free phone function... Etc but thinking of selling that going back to OEM.

Here are you two best options on the market. The 2nd one is almost like OEM.

Thank you for showing me those options. But I totally forgot that my car already has Bluetooth for hands free and I can't have 2 Bluetooth connections. And I want to keep my cars OEM Bluetooth. What are my options for adding just an auxiliary port on symphony 2+?

You can have 2 separate bluetooths. So your phone can connect to both bluetooth units.

Not connected to both things at same time right? Only one at a time isn't it?

Your phone can connect to the dension for music and audi for calls at the same time.
