I'm in Round Rock. Have had an A4 since 08. Couldn't get rid of it. Love it too much. So, just added a '13 A7 last weekend. It's brilliant black. It needs a good detail job badly. The black A5 above looks beautiful. Anyone have recommendations on companies on north side that do good detailing, specifically polish and wax. Thanks.

I, too, had a problem finding Audi-only/specific groups, GTG's, etc. a few years ago...I ended up finding out about Austin Euro Gruppe (check them out on Facebook) by talking to Mike at Brink Motorsports (shoutout to Mike: he is super knowledgeable and awesome to work with). Austin Euro Gruppe has a good number of Audis, but as you'd expect all other Euros are welcome and part of the group. Being a B5 guy, I've met some GREAT B5 peeps in this group, but there is something for everyone.

Long story, short: in reference to hitting up C&C, Austin Euro Gruppe heads out out there every time and they've usually set up reserved parking for us. Additionally, there are weekly meet-ups and other planned activities. It's a well run group with some really nice people.

I go to the AEG meets every once in a while if my scheduled allows. They are good guys. I met most of them while working at the austin veedub a few years ago.

Hi and welcome to Austin. I highly recommend Brink Motorsports. Michael Brink and his team are all former Audi techs with lots of experience. They did APR Stage 2 on my 2.0. Also there is a local Audi Club called the Audi Lonestar Chapter, look us up on FB. What did they quote you, and what work did you ask to be done?

Place in Houston charged me $250 for cutting out the baby mufflers up front welding in xpipe and replacing the large central mufflers with straight pipes. Might have been even cheaper if I paid cash[emoji2]

Hands down, Soul Speed. Colin is awesome and their prices are fantastic! He charged me $300 to install my H&R coilovers on my b8.5 S4 and around $150 to install my awe exhaust.

Details for the Inaugural Twisted Sisters Drive by Audi Club of Houston.

This is a driving experience you do not want to miss!!! This will be a circuit through the famed Twisted sisters in Hill country. If you want to have a great day of spirited driving through beautiful scenery and make new friends within the Audi community, this is the event you must make plans for. We will stop for pictures, videos, food and gas along the way. We will have 2 routes; the inner loop will be approximately 3-4 hours and the outer loop will be approximately 7-8 hours long. We have made hotel arrangements at the Austin Marriott South for a group rate of $119 per night (link is below, under hotel info). Your choice of Friday night, Saturday night or both. You can always share with another member, but we will leave that to you to coordinate. There will be a good-sized group heading to Austin on Friday night and we will have a group leaving Houston early Saturday morning to meet at the Hotel as well. We will have Audi enthusiasts from other cities joining us too. Just like everything we do, this is a family friendly event so please feel free to bring your significant other and kids too. After the drive the hotel will hold a special reception for us with drink and appetizer specials. Let’s make this a start to a great event we can hold annually. Please see below for more details. Late reply. Just seeing this part of the forum.

1. I'd recommend Brink Motorsports off Burnet near 183 for getting your car checked out. They also have a VagCom.

2. There's no sniffer test in TX. You just need to have no codes and be in a ready state to pass emissions.

I'm just dropping in here to say hi. I picked up a '14 RS7 last week in Denver and brought it back to Austin. The PO was meticulous with the car and it looks like new with lots of goodies as well (APR Stage II, HRE, etc). I haven't been super active in the car scene over the last several years with family obligations but am looking to get back into it.

I'm currently focused on getting the car inspection and registered :)
