I recently stopped by an audi dealer and saw the A3 in person (which I was considering), but didnt like it after I saw in in person. An a3 is something I can afford, but an A4 (what I really want) is a out of my budget, especially how the dealers option them. I'm wondering what you guys think of a white (cheaper and nicer, personally) 6spd quattro with cloth interior and only option being sport suspension. Nothing else at all. What do you guys think of the cloth interior? I havent yet seen a pic of cloth. Anyone have one? Also, should I just consider another car, since it's stupid to get an audi in such a base trim? I really want one, but dont want/need all those options.

Any opinions or ideas?
Thanks for help

Depends on what your intentions are, are you planning on modding it? If so I would probably juts go with Xenons as the only option and then just go aftermarket with the suspension. I had cloth in my old car and it wasn't that bad at all, the problem was that it was grey and it got really dirty, but if you were to get black i'm sure it wouldn't be an issue. And deffinatly a good choice on the Arctic white, i have it and i'm honestly yet to see another one on the road.

I definately going to mod it. But probably not for a while, that is why I want the sport package to hold me over for the time being. Plus, the base model quattro comes with not so nice 16" wheels, so I dont want ugly wheels and 4x4 stance. At least if its lowered a little, it wont be too bad. Yea, I dont care for any of those options. I;m coming from a 99 civic ex, so im not used to any of them. The only thing i really do want is the 17: double 5 spoke wheels, but they dont come on a base model like this without the premium package.

The set up I built was:
white
quattro 6spd
ebony cloth
sport suspenion.

Thanks for reply.

What's the price? BTW, sure i'd hit that. Dark cloth is perfect like ECa4 stated. Bet it's closer to the Audi advertised weight with all those options deleted too (ie, sunroof). Would make a heck of a fun track car. That's a rare find. It'd be my envy anyways. cheers! Mike

I didn't think you could get cloth seats with quattro, it's only available with the fwd i thought?

Edmunds and audi site show quattro with cloth. Sunroof package is what adds leather and its $1400. Edmunds game me this price ,with those options, MSRP-30,710: Invoice-28,545: TMV-30,031. I know I won't want any other option. Like I said earlier, the only thing I really do like is the Premium package's double 5 spoke wheel. But to get that, I need the sunroof package and premium package (about $3200 more). BTW, I'll most likely have to order a set up like this, doubt they have anyone around.

Also, does anyone have a pic of the cloth interior? And a pic of the base 16" wheels?

Thanks again for you opinions

It would kill your resale though.

IMO

Yep, having no leather will hurt a bit on the resale value, especially with the A4 positioned as a premium vehicle in North America. The cloth sport seats are definetly nice. I wish we had them here, a lot more supportive.

I believe white is now a "sold order option" meaning it carries an additional $750 price tag on top of your order. At least it was on my arctic white w/blk leather 06' avant. [up]
