Anyone changed the stock speakers yet on their B7? The sound is really shi**y on the Bose system. Not enough bass. Anyone knows what the impedance, wattage and sizes of the speakers?

I think Bubba has switched out his OE speakers for aftermarket.

If you want base just buy a sub and take out your bose sub. That's what I did and it sounds great. I'm running a jl 500/1 with a 12in. jl w6v2. HOwever, this isn't necessary. You can do with like a 250/1 and a 10 in. jl w3. Make sure the installer knows what he is doing since it is a little tricky to hook it up to the stock reciever.

Yep. Got me some Infinity speakers up front and a simple sub in the trunk. Easy mod and worth every cent.

did you simply replace in stock location or did you have an enclosure built (for the sub)... sorry if it's a dumb question cuz I don't even know where the stock sub is!! Compared to the audio in my R32 and all of my past domestic cars, the audi system is heaven! But if it can be better for not much money I'm all for it!

No, i have a removable Kenwood sub. I can just pull the cable quicklock and lift it out when i need the cargo space. It's black and looks allright, but not exactly a show winner. Actually i have kept all the original cables so i can reconnect the stock sub in two minutes if i want to.
Oh, and the stock sub is behind the lid on your right when you open the trunk [;)].
