It seems like it is coming from the center of the vehicle in the front. It is a loud clunk / bang noise that you can feel too...it's not a light clunk like what you get from a bad ball joint when hitting stutter bumps etc...

It only happens when I am turning hard on a curve or a sharp turn when I am on the gas, going fast and turning at the last minute, or driving aggressively.

It started doing it about a month ago but I haven't had time to get it looked at yet. Any suggestions on what to look at? I am a little new to the audi / B7 world as I am coming from a mk4 golf that I had for the past 8 years.

Take a look at your subframe and your sway bar

Mine did this when my motor mounts were going out. Check for leaking fluid from your mounts and check on your snub mount also.

Snub mount is new. I'll have to check motor mounts. It seems like the sound changes sides depending on which way you are turning.

Ok i tried to pry the motor mounts and move the engine and that all seems good. I am really thinking it could be the subframe shifting? Any ideas on how to check it without a lift?

I may have to bring it to a shop but i'm not sure where to start.

Does the sound vary with speed? A couple of the driveshaft bolts loosened up on my car a while back and it made a clack clack clack sound at medium speed while turning.

no it's definitely a loud thud that you can feel in the front center of the car. I really think it is the subframe at this point but i'm not sure how to go about finding out.
