Hello everyone,
I have a suspicion that I have bad transmission mounts. I am about to go outside and Jack my car up and then put it on stands, just wondering if there is any way to visually inspect the tranny mounts to tell if they are bad...

I am having a mild vibration upon acceleration and have replaced quite a bit of stuff on the front end so far, and will be doing both front wheel bearings this weekend. Any help would be great, thanks

Things I've replaced:
Both motor mounts
Both cv axles
All control arm bushings (ball joints still good)
New wheels
New tires
Tires balanced twice now

I'm trying to do this as well, would like to especially know the torque specs, thanks

No one? I just wanna know what to look for. I don't need a diy for changing them out

Unfortunately the best way to tell would be to remove it and do a visual inspection. If the tranny mount was bad, you'd get a lot of vibration upon decel. Some of the rubber is visible from the underside of the car. How many miles are on it? 2.0 or 3.2? Transmission? Quattro or Frontrack?

I decided to change all of my mounts to stern last year. Quite a bit of vibration across the board for 1k miles or so, but much improved over stock.

Have you checked your snub mount?

It's a 2.0 front wheel drive. I got under there last night and from what I saw they looked okay. The rubber is all intact, and not cracked or anything. While I was under there I noticed that my lower ball joints were torn. I know the uppers and lowers need bushings all around too so I just ordered a whole kit of uppers lowers sway links and steering links I think, as well as all of the hardware. Hopefully after I change all of that out as well as the bearings the shaking will stop

I have a 2008 auto awd and I have a suspicion my trans mount is going as well. I have a vibration in my xenons at idle (as seen on the car's bumper in front of me) and as I accelerate it goes away.
next time I change oil I will take a look if you havent figured it out yet.

I cant imagine its difficult to get the part off
