I know its a stretch but you never know. My brother just picked up a 99 avant with the stage 3 in it and man is that car quick. I sold my B5 S4 about two months ago and I really miss it, so I figured a stage 3 would be about as quick but insurance would be a whole lot less...if there is one you can e-mail me a price with pics and a cotact # to tyson325@msn.com
Thanks

Sorry this is a little off, but is insurance really that big of a difference between the S4 and the A4? I mean they are the same size car just with different motors. This is a little off the subject, so sorry, but ill keep my eye out for a 1.8t A4 with a KO4, why not go with the gt28rs?

I was paying $133 a month for my 2000 S4 with full coverage, I got a quote of $39 a month for a 2000 A4, but keep in mind that I wouldn't need to take a loan out for the A4. What kind of numbers are the gt28's putting down?
Thanks

They are puttin down way more thna just a ko4. I think ATP ran a GT28rs A4 at like a mid 12 quartermile, also look under APR site for their tuning numbers. The stage 3 kit is a ko4 and the stage 3 plus is a gt28rs, or disco potato.

why do you think it sounds sketchy?

97 chassis, 01 motor, stand alone etc.....
i dunno. unless you can find out he really knew
what he was doing.
there can be a lot of mistakes made on both a swap
and on tuning with a piggieback.
my $.02.. it will be long gone before mine is even for
sale, so im not being bias.

Went and took it for a test drive, boost didnt kick in till 5k but when it did kick in it was fricken fast but in stoplight to stoplight driving it would suck. The car doesn't even have cats and the owner no longer has them. I honestly don't know how hes going to sell the car...

5 grand? thats nasty.
im at 1.2bar by 4grand, with a cat. plenty of lowend torque and boost.
i dunno.. nothin against the guy, but the setup sounds
sketchy.
do yourself a favor, buy a decent, stock 99 or 00. buy a stg3 kit, do it yourself. you will have pretty nice set up for around 20k, depending on how far you want to take it.

I know this isn't what your looking for, but might be worth a look if you have the $$ and want a fast quattro

Sick car for sure. I'd agree though, I think he is asking way too much. Brian and Larry are pretty proud of thier stuff though, I was looking at Larry's personal Quattro a couple of years ago. It was awesome with a 450 hp 20v, but he wanted $20k for it.

That number probably reflects the amount of money/hours spent on that car. Still, wishful thinking. It's soo badass, though. You couldn't really use it for a DD the way it is. It's just a rally car.
