How is the daily drivability affected by the LWFW? Is it any less comfortable to drive?

I did the lwfw stage 1 clutch combo. Daily driveability did not suffer at all. Immediately I noticed pressing the clutch in was a little stiffer but this change was about the equivalent of how your breaks feel after doing a break job and fluid flush. As far as clutch engagement goes I think the biggest difference will be in which stage clutch plate you choose. I chose stage 1 and its drives perfect and should hold a stage 3 upgrade just fine. I did notice chatter but I can only hear it when I have my window down and its echoing in a drive through. I also have a fluidampr so I don't know how much that affects it but they are supposed to reduce chatter.

Probably about 80% of us run this clutch. I love my JHM clutch its a great daily and takes a beaten if you wanna launch the car at 5k and give a mustang a good whopping.

Crankshaft pulley/harmonic balancer. It should decrease engine vibrations at all rpms. You should also check into the ecs lightweight flywheel and clutch combo. About the same in price but the flywheel is a different material.

Thanks and will do. I have a feeling I will need one soon. It slips occasionally under fast hard shifts

Ok and not bad then. Took about that long on my old f150. But I did it on jack stands

I did this myself following the b6 diy a couple months ago. I've never done a clutch before so it took me about 2 days on jack stands. It wasn't hard except when I had to allign the transmission into the clutch. To make it easy I left the pressure plate bolts only slightly tighter than finger tight. Then pushed the transmission in and pulled it back out. Then I tightened the pressure plate to the proper torque.

That is what the clutch alignment tool is for!!

Yeah that plastic shaft that came with your clutch kit is for aligning the 2 together.

I did use the plastic tool. I used it the first time I tried to mate the transmission in and could net get it to go in. So then I loosened the pressure plate. Aligned it again with the tool and then used the transmission to fully align it and then I had no problems. Probably cause I'm newb.
