I am getting 580 for my bumper that was ruined in the accident, and i told the body shop that i am interested in the stock rs4 bumper rather than the reiger. They told me it would cost me 220 out of pocket. What would u guys do. Get the reiger rs4 or the factory rs4. I didnt want to get the factory because i think it will get butchered to make my greddy intercooler fit. Does anyone have a factory rs4 bumper with the greddy intercooler. If so how much cutting was involved. thanks

get the reiger. Don't you have to cut the factory RS4 bumper to make it fit?

but i dont want to butcher it for the intercooler. I dont know if you guys feel the same, and the body shop can def do the install. And if i want the oem the shipping will take 10 days, and i kinda want my car back asap

I say reiger. You also have a choice of the kerscher or Uberhaus bumpers which have the same look.

kersher is nice
reiger is just too clean for me too pass up. If i didnt have greddy unit i would be all over the oem rs4. SO CLEAN,, thanks for all your imput guys.

you could also go with an oem S4 bumper and do the RS4 openings. S4 bumper has a ton of room for FMIC.

for the OEM wouldn'tb you need to change the fenders also just because they are wide body ?

no they cut part of the bumper out so they can make the bumper less wide so it can fit and then they mold it in.

oem rs4 all the way. talk to dvs18t, he fit his greddy fmic behind his reiger rs4 without cutting and has a buddy that has an oem s4 front bumper with greddy fmic without cutting also. he said to lower the fmic with longer brackets making it sit below the bumper support/reinforcement.

dvs lives by my house, and i installed the greddy on my own with his method. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY HE TRIMMED HIS BUMPER AND I TRIMMED MINE... THERE was a lot of trimming that took place. I also went to the guys house who has the s4 bumper with the greddy and he had to cut as well. You also have to break off a bracket on the intercooler.

an oem rs4 bumper for $220 out of pocket? sounds kinda skeptical. Are you sure they didn't mean S4?

Well lets not forget that when you lower the core you lower the IC pipes which means you either have to add more pipe or redo the pipes all together.

That was $220 out of his pocket on top of what the insurance was going to pay which was $580. This means it will cost him a total of $800.
