So, seen someone else had done this install spot for the boost gauge and loved it, but I decided to go a little further with it and give it an OEM fitment look. Didn't want to ruin my AC vents and didn't want it in permanent line of sight because I'll only use it for tuning and whatnot. So, efficient usage of the neglected ashtray was made. Pretty stoked with the final product! Install was surprisingly easy, hardest part was the fabrication of the ashtray which I had some genius hands to help me with.

Very nice! That's a real clean set up.

A for effort but while you are watching the gauge you are not watching the road [o_o], but at the end, you knew already that someone would say that.

I think its a great idea. I have been eyeing the same spot for a boost gauge. Do you know what size gauge it is you used? 52mm?

I don't see the point in a gauge that you can't really read while driving. Good job on the install though.

Clever idea. goes WOT and thinks 'let me pop it so i can see my PSI'' see's psi is 20 lbs of boost while already going towards a big ass tree or light pole. lol careful set up is clean but not very smart.

Yeah 52mm is the size of mine. Have also got snippets of where I ran the boost hose if you're interested, pretty easy install though, straight up under the drivers dash and through the ecu box grommets then into the engine bay.
As for placement, reason it's there is because of that reason exactly ^ so I don't read it while driving, hidden and concealed neatly until I need it for tuning / boost checking.

Mine is right on the steering column and I never look at it unless I think something is wrong. If it works for you, that's all that matters.
