Second Gear Hesitation Full Throttle High RPM

Hey guys,

I just recently did a few hard pulls in second gear and the car hesitates for a second then gets full power. Doesn't feel like a misfire.

Let's say you are cruising at 60KM and downshift to second gear, your rpm goes up to almost 5k-6k. Then step on the gas completely, it gets power and then for a tiny second I feel it jerks a bit and looses slight power then gets it back. Maybe the turbo is kicking in? Clutch slip? I dunno never felt anything like it before.

Doesn't happen every time, all other gears seen fine. It's a 6 speed manual, 2.0T Quattro.

A clutch slipping would have RPMs jumping around if you do a pull at highway speed in 6th gear. This is second-hand info, so I'd recommend doing some digging into the topic yourself; the way it's been described to me is, when you floor it in 6th gear on the highway, the RPMs will jump, but the car won't "go". How do your plugs look?
