BOSAL 284841 replace center muffler only? anybody do this

using BOSAL 284841
center muffler. I plan to cut pipes to rear mufflers and just connect the center mufflers. Thinking I may use the tubular connectors if the two ODs are the same (yah right).... Anybody do this, else I need to buy the bosal rear mufflers

took off exhaust, very easy to remove entire exhaust, very un-audi like, something easy?
Just need to seperate the coupler at the cat pipe. Unbolt rear hangers and un clip center muffler hanger.

I was able to weld the area where there was a slight leak. Putting in the after market center muffler was a TBD with cutting the OEM rear pipes and then reattaching.
Since no one has done this I stayed with OEM setup and just welded the broken pipes

How is the sound? Notice any difference? My center muffler is rusting out, so is my down/flex pipe so I'm thinking this maybe my route
