The last couple of weeks have yielded record amounts of rain in Texas, which has resulted in some seriously dirty cars... This Interlagos blue e92 M3 was no exception, and came to me in need of some serious attention. Heavy water spotting, lots of tar build up, and light swirling / scuffing in the paint. A single stage paint correction got this Interlagos e92 looking new again. Enjoy!

I really like to use the Sonax brand Full Effect wheel cleaner. Once you spray it on, the color turns from green to red as it dissolves and loosens up the build up grime and brake dust.

Using various wheel brushes, you can get some seriously clean wheels!

I like to use an Iron out prior to washing - this has a similar effect to the sonax wheel cleaner, in that is begins to break down and dissolve contaminants and debris prior to washing. This will make claying the car much easier later on.

As is mentioned before, there was a significant amount of scuffing and swirling in this Interlagos paint

A single stage of paint correction with the Portercable 7424 / Menzerna Si1500 compound made quick work of it, and left me with a gorgeous finish.

A final polish with the sf4500 left a perfect, mirror like finish! There is so much depth to this paint!!

We finished the wheels with Poorboys wheel sealant. This gives a great layer of protection to corrosive brake dust, and really brings out the depth in the metallic flake finish.

Finished them off with Adams Super VRT - this is a water based dressing that leaves a very matte, clean finish. VRT is great for any plastic or rubber finishing.
