Im planning a trip down to Roanoke Va in a few weeks[drool]. Last time I drove down in my old Acura TL[up]. So buring 91 wasnt an issue. But I will be [drive] my Avant with a APR KO4 93 octane tune. This is my only file on my ecm. So there is nothing to switch to and from. Will this tune adapt and not cause damage to my 2.0T engine[confused]. The reason why I ask there wasnt many gas stations selling 93 octane on my route [drive] down

Fill up with 93 and bring a bottle of octane booster if necessary. You should really just search out a station with 93 and whenever you see one top off...

Realistically you'll be fine.

Don't beat on it and you will be fine. The ecu will pull timing if it needs to.

A little octane boost and staying out of boost and it shouldn't ping.

You'll be fine, and you shouldn't have that much trouble finding 93 along that route (at least I never did).

Try Lucas or Torco.

And I echo just don't rip on it if you only fill up with 91.

Yea as long as you don't get into the boost you should be fine.

Lol. Guys it's 2 octane different. I've run my b6 on APRs 93 octane file without a single issue for weeks at a time and we only have 92 here in Seattle. I generally run in 91 because I'm not stupid but you're not going to have any issues in 93 mode running 92 or 91. You don't need to stay out of boost or drive like a grandma. You'll be fine. We have knock sensors.
