Code P1457

I've been trying to find more B7 A4 specific info about this code with not much luck. Other Audi models seem to have problems with EGT sensors and this code is common. I've erased the code several times and it keeps coming back. Having other engine issues as well - power loss, smoke from exhaust under full boost. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Is that code from a generic code reader or VCDS?

Just a generic reader, don't have VCDS.

Weird. My Bentley doesn't list it. RossTech doesn't list it. Mr. Google knows about it but it's all about EVAP canister leaks on Hondas.

I'd VAG-COM it and see if there are other pending codes in there. But they all play by the same OBD II rules, so it's gotta be an EVAP leak of some sort.

With all the other issues you're having, you should get that scanned with VCDS.
