I've had good success with the EVOMS Front mount, but I primarily chose that one because of the good quality and the fact that it tucks behind the stock bumper.

That thing looks sweeeet on your car :) did you have to do much trimming to get it to fit?
does the evoms come in a kit?what's a reliable vendor that sells that fmic?
clearance shouldn't be a problem with my bumper then,if yours tucks behind a stock bumper.

this will be going on a stg3 gt28rs turbo.

thanks!

I have the greddy front mount, behind my rs4 bumper

Fitment is overall good, the bumper had to have a little trimming but otherwise fits great.

The EVOMS comes with the intercooler, two silicone couplers, four clamps, and the two black powdercoated hardpipes you can see in the picture. You will need your stock intercooler to throttle body hose, and if you are going with the GT28rs like mine, you will need a 12" - 13" length of 2" i.d. silicone or similar hose and two clamps, preferably t-bolt clamps, for the transition from turbo to hardpipe. I got the setup from Supreme Power Parts, those guys treated me great. I trimmed very little to get this to fit, just in the area of the two side grills. The bumper would install before the trim, it just didn't sit right. I love the black hardpipes, super stealthy with my setup. Most people don't know what kind of car just smoked them especially when my taillights are a distant glimmer on the horizon . . .

Nice ride btw, pearl is sick . . .

i got the greddy and recommend it. it's a lot of cutting for a stock a4 front, but no cutting if you have a s4 front bumper or a reiger rs4 front bumper. dvs18t mentioned that in a previous thread. just needed to remount the intercooler lower for the s4/rs4 bumpers.

Is there a set place to mount the greddy? How much lower?
Does the greddy come in a kit also?Where did you get yours?

thanks!

i got mine through my friend. it's a full kit with piping, clamps and couplers. if you have a dbw there's a spot for the sensor you need to relocate, if not you'll have to plug it somehow. the brackets it comes with sets it at a certain position, but from what dvs18t said, i can make custom brackets to make it sit lower. i'll be doing that soon when i get my s4 front bumper installed.

THIS IS NOT A TRUE STATEMENT

you will need to cut a lot on the rs4 bumper. that is all. s4 bumper requires minor trimming.

OEM RS4 with a APR FMIC! Was a total butcher on my RS4 front. I still have to cut more plastic to get rid of the bulge.

Here are some of my posts.

2nd that, with an RS4 you will need to trim the skin itself, what i meant is that you do NOT need to trim the aluminium bumper support with the exception of the metal tabs on the bottom (which are worthless if you have an RS4 bumper anyways. With the S4 bumper i have never installed it myself but have been told that you dont need to cut the skin at all just remove the stock S4 grilles to make room for the core. The greddy is a fantastic unit and I really didnt mind cutting the skin to make it fit. The benefits with my BT setup far out weighed the costs of some plastic.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/stevewhitmore/Intercooler/100_0049.jpg

DAMN...That sucks mang..Sorry to hear you had to f*(k your bumper up like that.
I'm definately staying away from the APR now...even though the whole car practically has everything APR on it.I'm going to get the evoms one. It's more cash, but fitment & quality seem to be a little better than the rest?Fitment for sure.

sorry, what i meant by cutting was in reference to the bumper support, not the skin. i was only relaying what i was told by dvs18t, in which he just clarified it a few posts up. sorry for the confusion.

The EVO unit fits good, cools the charge, and I like the stealth . . . http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a42/Joelamite/P1010019.jpg

Here is my setup now. Really needed to open the bumper up to get some air flow over the top half of the core. Air temps are about 10-20 degs over outside temps during wot runs.

It is a Garrett core. It was custom made by Full-race.com when I had the manifold made.

DVS18t:

Pulled the sprayers out because I never use them and got tired of having to unplug the hose every time I pulled the bumper off. There are 2 other holes behind the lic plate that are covered up and I plan on doing more work to open those holes up to allow much more air flow. Going to need that cooling air on the core once I start to push the boost to 30+.

Hey, you should cruise up to norcal with me this week. Going racing at SAC on friday with javad from 034, maybe even on saturday and sunday for the CMI event. Then drop the car off at 034 for the install.
