Hi, I have a 07 B7 2.0T 6mT titanium. My rear differential started to make some noise.
What's my option? Will S4 rear diff work?
Is there many Audi rear diff? I'm coming from Subaru, we had many differential.
Thanks

A used stock diff would be cheapest, but I would upgrade.

Before you throw $800 at your car, do you know the diff is shot? [confused] Or is it low on fluid? If it leaks, it might be low on fluid. Pull the fill plug and stick your finger in there. Is the fluid level right at the hole? If not, why not add some fluid, drive it for a month and see if the noise is gone. If so, pull the pumpkin and change all 3 seals. Refill with new fluid and send me the $600 you saved. [:)]

Yes it's noisy. And yes low on oil, thats for sure. Been a year thats it's leaking and seals arein my trunk.
Honestly, it's a little noisy. But on the road it sounds like a wind noise. (That is not always there)
Still, from experience refilling it with oil is a low possibitlity of working and it's 45$'of oil.
Axis has found me a used one for 200$.

Where can I find the good diff code? Seems like I have a HUQ. Would only an HuQ fit there?
From my research any 3.89 diff will fit from b6-b7 with the 6 speed manual. Am I right?

I also have a 07 6sp Sline rear diff that I need to replace, what models will fit and how can I find the proper code? Any help? I'm looking at purchasing a 2008 6-speed A4 rear diff, will they fit?
