Alright guys, I have a 2006 B7 quattro, 2.0t tiptronic. Car was working perfectly fine today.. I bought some B6 S4 seats as well as some silver trim(I had the brown fake wood trim) recently.. Anyhow today I swapped the seats(I did not swap the bladder module from the passenger seat yet. ) was just putting the seats in to see how they look.

Also swapped the silver trim.. Got to the the ash tray and struggled removing it.. SO i thought I would start the car, put it in gear to get more clearance.. Anyhow I started the car and I cannot select any gear.. Foot is on the brake, no gear selection..

Any ideas why? could i have disturbed a plug when removing the center trim/ash tray trim? The airbag light is on(which I expected from the passenger seat not having the pressure (bladder) installed.. Could that have made my car go into pissed off, you can't drive me mode??.. any ideas!? thanks ahead of time.

Airbag light won't keep your from driving the car. I drove with mine on for a week or so before doing the bladder swap. I'd put it in park and maybe disconnect the battery for an hour or two and then give it a shot.

Sounds like you knocked the wire plug of the shift lock solenoid[confused]. [wrench] the trim around the shifter and look around

Could be this too I guess. I have a manual and didn't realize there was such a plug.

Alright guys, I looked at the solenoid and it appears to be fine. I unplugged and replugged.. no luck, I made a video to see if anyhow has any further ideas.

I think the (solenoind for selector lock-n110 ) is the issue... apparently it can be removed without further issues, does anyone know how to remove it?

Ok, so after some further testing.. I'm 99% sure the solenoid is clicking.. The light on the transmission that signals the brake is pressed also goes off. and the brake lights come on when brake pedal is pressed.

As far as the override button I do not see one anywhere. Do you have a picture? I've tried removing the #31 fuse.. I also checked the engine fuses, no fuse issues..

I've tried to remove the car from park in off position, on position, as well as ACC or in between position.. Still nothing.. :(
The car worked 100% fine before the seat and trim install.. With an automatic car, could the airbag light from no passenger side seat pressure bladder make the car go into limp or non-drivable mode?

I'm going to remove the passenger seat tomorrow and see.

I guess you could try to put everything back and see what happens. Not sure it will do any good though.

Im thinking maybe you dropped a small nut or bolt down into the sifting mechanism and jammed it up[confused]

I thought about that, I did drop a small bolt down the center dash where the radio is, but couldn't have gotten under or around the shifter I'm 99.9999% sure
Is there anything behind the radio that could be jammed?
