Registration and title from different states

I am planning on picking up a 07 Brilliant Black Titanium sedan locally from a single owner who originally bought the car in Oregon (live in California). He has CA registration but the title is still from Oregon. Is this going to be a problem for me? Anyone familiar with this?

Contact your local DMV/tax office and ask. If they say the title needs to reflect the owner's current address, then have him pay the fee to title the vehicle in CA before you buy the car.
