So my tries are getting worn and it's about time for new ones. With that, it's the perfect time to upgrade to a bigger size wheel if I wanted. And I will not be lowering my car.

Keeping stock 18":
- Able to have a full size spare on road trips. This is a big one.
- More sidewall rubber for a smoother ride on trips or over potholes.
- Not a big jump to 19"
- Tires are usually cheaper for 18"
- Not many aftermarket style options.

Going 19" or 20"
- They look awesome...on lowered S4s
- More available wheel style options
- Have to get rid of my spare and just keep a 12v pump incase I have a slow leak with no sidewall damage.
- I have Autoclub but would have to wait if I damage a rim or wheel on a trip.

Your thoughts please.

I just had the same thing. I currently had the stock 18s and planned on sticking with them for many reasons. However, I decided to go with the 19s. I would talk with Mops who works for supremepower and he would be able to explain some of this better, but for me he basically told me to go up a wheel size and then you go down a half a size on sidewall. So I went from 245/40/18 to 255/35/19. Also, I am still keeping my stocks for winter. I have a spare in my trunk but it happens to be a 19 as well so I wouldn't have a problem with that. Last, our cars come stock with 19s in many cases so it is fine to go up a size.

18's can look OK-to-good with the car lowered appropriately, but 19's will look better in just about all scenarios. Handling should be more precise with 19's also, due to typically less tire sidewall flex.

I'd go with 19s in one of the oem styles, peelers or rotors.

the spare is not affected in any way...

The rolling diameter should remain the same between 18's and 19's.

18's will look a bit small in most cases.

This!!! As long as you stick with factory sized rubber (where it be 18's or 19's) there is no problem with the spare.

No offense to anyone that has the factory 18's but the wheel is not attractive and does the car zero justice...... GO FOR THE 19" wheels!!!!
