Disconnected battery and lost key fob windows up down

I removed my alternator so I disconnected my battery, after I reinstalled and reconnected I have lost the option to put my windows up or down through key fob or by inserting key into door and turning it, I vagcomed car and code is still correct. All my other codes still work just not this one, any ideas?

You need to reset the auto up/down features. You have to roll the windows all the way up and down all the way so it can relearn.

Yea when that happens to me too. I do it one switch at a time from the driver side control.

Start with the windows up.
Hold one switch all the way down for a few seconds after the window is fully open.
Then hold the switch up and hold it there for a few seconds after the window is fully closed.
Repeat the process for the other windows one at a time.

This should solve your problem.
