After driving the car for awhile, sometimes the rpm suddenly rises to 900 and stays there for a min. (sometimes 30 sec or less) or so then comes back down to normal idle rpm.

Anybody know what is causing this problem?

Maybe MAP sensor or throttle body problem?

Need your advise~~

Clean throttle body and align it. Might help.

Could also be vacuum leak. Any recent mods or installs in the engine bay?

Well, I had roc euro installed long time ago but it didn't happen before.
And also I have AWE exhaust aligned couple weeks ago.

Coould any of this cause the problem?

Strange I had that happen on my old A4 but only when it was really cold...

Unmetered air (leak in intake tract) can cause erratic idle issues and running lean. If there was a leak in the exhaust you'd prob be running rich (depending how close to O2 sensor).

No boost tap/gauge or anything else in there?

Just give the intake another once over to ensure it's all sealed up.
