Does anyone have (or heard of) Frequency Intelligent Exhaust? I stumbled across the clip of their stage-2 S4 on YouTube and it sounds like a less-raspy Armytrix. It looks like the tune was done in Malaysia.

I was looking into Frequency Intelligent, but they said they haven't installed it on an S4 with a Sports Diff and that they didn't think it would fit. I ended up going with an exhaust from HMS instead.

I only have some from the interior at the moment. I will try to get some from the outside soon.

I bought it through GMP Performance. Unfortunately though, I think HMS forgot to include adapter pieces which led to a frustrating install process that cost me more money than it should have.

I am looking into the exhaust right now, unfortunately it may need to be modified by any shop that it is brought to if anyone else here has a b8.5 s4 with a sports diff. Price is comaparable to the Armytrix, I however, like the slightly "cleaner" sound of it more and the fact that there are so many different tip options (Gold, Carbon Fiber, Chrome black, chrome, Titan Blue which is essentially the burnt tips of Armytrix), They also offer their custom downpipes in a highflow catless and 100 cell racing pipes.. I really like the gold. they look very clean.

I'm curious to hear how the HMS sounds on a B8/8.5 S4. I've seen the video of the B8 RS4 and it's one of the nicest exhausts I've ever heard, granted the different motor.

I would like to know how it A) sounds with the valves closed compared to the OEM exhaust B) how is the drone on a scale of 1-10 with the OEM exhaust being considered to be a 1 C) has it been designed to fit B8.5's with the Sport Diff.

I actually like how that sounds valve open and closed, but all the valve exhausts are very expensive for the relatively simple piece of tech they are running ><

Or make your own with any exhaust for WAY cheaper.

cchoi: A) Valves closed it is quite muted, maybe even slightly more restrained than stock is.
B) The drone isn't bad in my opinion, never bothersome to me, maybe a 5? If you aren't on the gas much, at say 60 km/hr theres is almost no drone. On the highway for long trips maybe you would close the valves, but its still not bad.
C) Mine is a B8 with a sport diff. So it should fit B8.5's dont think there is a difference. However, I had a problem with fitment but HMS said it was because an adapter piece was missing from the box or got lost.

Here is a video from the outside: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39oyqep7JNk&feature=youtu.be

A) Interesting.

B) I should have clarified my question. What I meant to ask is how is the drone with the valves closed. I expect any valved exhaust to drone with the valves open.

A) I heard it from the outside when starting up and driving away slowly with valves closed, maybe a slight bit louder than stock. But if you floor it it is not loud, no louder than stock probably.

B) Okay gotcha, with them closed the drone is very little if any, maybe a 2 or max 3 out of ten haha
