So I'm planning to buy a bicycle and it's been like 20 years since I last rode. The store is a bit further from home than would be prudent for a first ride.
Would an assembled adult bike fit in the back of an S4 with the rear seats folded down? Just enough for a short drive so I don't care if it hangs over into the front seat area too. Having trouble visualizing the space and the size of a bike.

Easily with rear seats folded and front wheel removed. Put a layer/blanket and keep chain up. You can put rear of bike towards front of car leaving room for the forks in the trunk.

Don't have a b8, but have literally done this a thousand times in my B5 and B7. This is the easiest way I've found.

Thanks guys. I got frustrated when I couldn't fit an office chair (in box) back there because of the shape. Looks like a bike will fit ok!
