Well, guys, I know we all didn't think this would happen until about 2010, haha. Today, I said, f*ck it, I'm going to Eurotech!! I got my ECU flashed and it is phenomenal. 2nd gear is a whole new dimension. Hearing that aspirating turbo boost to 20psi is absolutely incredible. Now, I actually have some acceleration in 5th gear! It truly is the best engine mod for the price. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I had to let out my sheer love for this mod go heard of.

Woohoo. Gone dr-ving!

Tell me about it. The kit in my sig; I'm selling for a friend. Luckily, all my other money is tied up in investments where I want it, but this was a great investment, imo.

Gone ricer hunting, PEACE! Lmao.

compared to stock? rediculous. If you have high mileage, make sure you get a DV soon there after. I had a chip and the car felt *OK* but it turns out I had a failing 710A. After swaping it out in favor of a 710N, The car makes full boost now. It's almost like getting chipped all over again.

Yea, 1.8 seven, dude, it's unreal. 2nd gear is phenomenal. Hitting 20psi is like the stock boost + twice as long + twice as hard. It Rocks.

Nick, car starting to sound familiar again? GIAC-X, V&S...lol

yea i have about like 60k miles, would i need to upgrade my dv? is it a DIY job?

yeaaa dv is real easy it was my very first mod and supposidly improves airlflow by 10% supposidly...go for it!

Nah it doesn't improve airflow. Just holds boost better than stock, meaning the boost won't leak thru it as easy.

No no no, after STI is a e46 M3, then it is a 911, then a 911 turbo.

My feelings exactly. Add Carrera GT at the end though.

Pierce....great to hear you like it man. i totally understand the way you feel. the chip really makes the car feel explosive in 1st and 2nd compared to stock. you will even have to be more careful in the wet (like it is here today), i've had the tail wag on me pulling out into traffic if i jump it too hard.

how was your experience at Eurotech? i had my TB/tensioner done there a month ago and i thought those guys rock. i'll be going back for other maintainance in time.

Scotty, Eurotech was great. Nothing fancy, they just get the job done, which is exactly what I wanted. Amen about the rain today, I felt myself slipping a little if I launched from 1 to 2 at high boost. The afternoon was fun, though. Dry streets, cool weather.

any worries about long term reliability with the increased stress on the turbo? or any other things that you had to upgrade in the engine to handle the increased power? thanks

No, just let it cool down by keeping the engine running for a couple minutes after driving it hard.

AJ - An upgraded diverter valve is very common when chipping. Luckily, mine was already upgraded, but I plan on investing in a Forge 006 or 007 quite soon.

Peirce great job on the new purchase, thing runs great

I would highly advise you invest in a bailey dv or another forge dv that can be adjusted spring rate wise so you can shim the spring a little bit to hold the higher boost and not hve it taper off. Id also advise you to invest in an n75 Race valve, adds another 3-4 psi and with the shimmed dv you will be able to hold all the boost and not have any of it taper off.

chip your car... Put a smile on your face :)
