I'm only getting up to 140 g\s when I VAG my car on 3rd gear WOT..

This seems to be a bit low..but not too low..
Is my only option to replace the MAF??
I've tried cleaning it already...didn't help much...

what's the problem? is the car not running properly or are you just concerned w/ the maf voltage?

i assume you're chipped. if so, that is too low. i had the same problem, bought a reman. MAF from the dealer and it fixed my problem. the car didn't seem any faster, but the numbers were finally right.

car seems kinda slow..
some hesitation at times...gonna try a different N75 to try and solve that...

Also...I get a slight burning smell after I drive hard...

so when I VAGed it....MAF readings were low...thinkin that this may be the problem..

If the maf readings are low the car will run much leaner during wot. On your log of the maf do you know what your readings are at idle?

GIAC chip..(non-dbw)
boost is reaching 17-18psi..
looks normal right?

I didn't check my MAF readings at idle...
what should I look for?

I think it 2.3 g/s at idle. You should be seeing close to 165 g/s at wot. Basically at WOT, the ECU is supplying fuel for 140 g/s when there is in fact more air that that. You got leaning I would suspect. Get a rebuilt MAF, same part number just add an "x" at the end and trade yours in as core. I run the golf 2.0 with K04 software and it works fine. I get 186 g/s max I think. Swap that think out dude.

oh boy it was like a year ago, check out ecs, I think they have it. You don't have to get it from them, but they got the part number.

Did understand this right? Can you use the MAF sensor out of a golf 2.0 in a 1.8L engine or did I read that wrong?

Also, does anyone know the correct maf readings for a stock 1.8T??

It will not read correctly in all 1.8t's, your just better off buying the exact same part # maf your car came with.
