I got about 10 runs in and the car was running great. The last run the EPC light came on and the car lost power and started idling rough. When I got home I scanned the codes and it said I had a misfire on cylinder 1 and cylinder 1 was shut down for safety. After turning it off and on again at the track the EPC light went away. Is this something to worry about? Also, I was low on gas at the time, I wonder if that played any part.

I'm sure it scared the hell out of you, but after 10 runs I can't imagine it would be unlikely to get a misfire especially if you're using LC. Nevertheless maybe get it checked out, could be ignition coil or coil pack, I had one random misfire at WOT recently but not since.

The best bet is to inspect the plugs first. If they check out OK swap your cyl1 cp with the cyl2 cp and now go log your car under some similar wot conditions. Post up your logs of timing, AFR knock, and egt. Gotta log if you want to find out how the car is running.

I've had issues with running WOT with low gas and the HPFP throwing a low pressure code. However, the car never mis-fired.
Is your car MT? I have had the car go into limp mode while blipping the throttle to launch the car and it was a mis-fire in a cylinder. I replaced the plugs and haven't had an issue since.

Had this happen when testing methanol injection amounts, never came back after, I wouldn't worry. If you are paranoid, you can pull the plugs and check them, if they look good, move on!
Should be good to go.

Being low on fuel will do that. After 10 runs, you were likely losing fuel pressure.

Thanks everyone. If it happens again I'll start to worry. Austin, your tune surpassed my expectations, I did a 12.01@115 on pump!

Glad to see you're happy! That's an awesome time on pump fuel, and with few mods too. [up]

Whenever I get a misfire my car sounds like an angry B7 with supercharger noise and the awe exhaust makes it sound crazy.
