I think I agree with you. I guess it's a matter of personal taste, but the electric blue alcantara on black leather doesn't look right to me. Additionally the bright silver trim (or is that silver/white carbon fiber?) makes the interior look cheaper to me than the carbon atlas trim does. I'm on the fence about the perforated steering wheel leather.
I get that it's different, but it's not different in a good enough way for my taste to justify the steep price adder.

Love the exterior, not feeling the interior either. To me the blue alcantara on black just doesnt do it for me and I am a huge fan of almost all Audi blue's

I guess I'm in the minority along with OP, really like the blue/black interior, unique and classy. I'd even go as far as repainting S4 badge blue, too.
My first Audi was a C5 A6 with blue leather interior. I remember getting compliments on it.

After wanting Nogaro for a very long time I picked up one, B6, but I found the color hard to live with..if that makes sense. It is a lot nicer in pics imho and the interior is a bit intense after a while.. Sprint Blue is a better color balance.

One of my good friends had the original Nogaro S4 back in the day. First Audi I ever drove. This car takes me back and I love that they made it. That said, the interior got the big NO from my wife when I was looking at one before landing on the Glacier White/Black Nappa car I have now.

Your tastes don't effect the resale of a limited run vehicle.

I really dislike the alu trim. Just makes it look bargain A4 to me. The exterior is great. I could live with the seats (although I don't care for it) but the trim is what kills it for me.

Tastes definitely affect resale value; this option is virtually worthless in the secondary market.

Its so funny how things have changed and it seems those that dont like it must be new to Audi.
When the B6 version of this came out it was highly sought after and is still considered a unicorn when in the Avant version. When I sold mine, I had no shortage of interest and had the car sold within days. Many folks that have been into the cars for years and are still on the B6 forums still love this look.
Its also a historical color scheme, stemming from the original RS2. People calling it childish or boy racer really have no clue about the history of this look.
Lastly, if you havent seen it in real life, you really dont have a good idea of the color. The paint is a pearl paint, so it has depth and the pearl shine it in that doesnt come through in photos, also the interior isnt really as bright in real life.
The only thing maybe over the top is that the door panels have the nogaro in them as well, where in the past, they were black which toned it down a bit.

Not everyone is new here! :)
I don't like it because i don't think the B8 wears that interior color well. We don't have the classic recaro's that the S/RS series is known for, that ended in the B7. I love the history of the color combo trust me, i just don't think it works with the b8 chassis.

True, I didnt mean to offend anyone or assume all were newbies, I have just been surprised at the lack of love for the color on this platform when you look at some of the older model forums and still see a lot of love for it.
I miss my B6 Recaros...
Actually, it really works best on Avants and I think if we saw the Avant here with this color it would be awesome.
I am quite aware of the history a close friend of mine still owns the twin turbo avant in this colour. Did not like it when he bought it, still do not like it. He has had it for sale for years no takers, it's a running joke now with the traders.
I have been involved in the motor trade all of my life, in every aspect. I worked for TVR, you could choose any colour you like. One mans taste is not everyone's, just because I or anyone else does not like it, it does not mean we have no clue. Some men like blondes, some like red heads others brunettes. Does not mean any of them are wrong, just have different taste.
Times change, what was popular before does not mean it should be now. If that were the case we would have slot mags and starsky stripes on our cars.
Colour very much effects resale, there is a mint green S4 for sale right now rock bottom price and he can not give it away. While others older with more miles but in better colours are selling for more.

10 years of continuous Audi ownership here....anyway, I like the exterior color. Particularly if the wheels are done properly. I've seen one of these cars in person. I know it sounds trivial but the only thing I really dislike is the alu trim. It really turns me off and makes the entire interior of the car look a bit cheaper than it should imo. Agree, Avant would look great.

Well, maybe your buddy should try to sell it over here cause I could give him any of five people that would buy in a second.
Like I said still super popular in the other forums and I had no issue moving my B6 for a premium in less than a week.
As I said, didnt mean to offend anyone, just comments like boy racer and such made it seem that people didnt realize the history of the color combo.
I'll apologize now and stay out of it from here on out. I'm 44 and definitely no boy racer and would have bought that in a minute had I been able to afford the premium for it.

Yup, it seems like B8s might fetch an extra thousand bucks, or so, but that is a 90% drop in value. Will some people be champing at the bit to buy it? Sure, but they are part of a pretty niche market.
I am a newbie here, but have owned Audis for 11 years. I am not a fan of the interior and would just spend the extra money to move up to the S6 since the blue seats don't make it go any faster [;)].

lol times have changed. People used to obsess over this combo. You cant please everyone though. Color preference is subjective and being that this combo caters to a niche market it wont be for most. I personally expect one PM for every ten haters on this thread which so far has been pretty accurate haha. Hate it or love it, someone will buy it.
As for the trim... I agree... I don't like aluminum trim in ANY car. The trim in this car is the aluminum race inlays that are found in the B8.5 RS4

IMO this color car lowered to slightly tuck the tires with a set of OEM B7 RS4 wheels (bored out to fit the B8.5) running a little bit of camber and likely the fenders pulled a bit to fit the wheels.....would look sweet.

Ive owned Audis for about 11 years now. I remember when everyone obsessed over this combo as well. My first Audi was a 2001.5 Nogaro S4. I was always bummed that it didn't have the blue alcantara interior. I LOVE Nogaro more than any other color out there. Im overall not crazy about how the facelift S4 looks(not trying to put any of you guys down, its just my opinion) but this car in this color is beautiful(again, IMO).
I can definitely see what you guys are saying about the interior, and it being more attractive to a 16y/o kid, but I still like it a lot. Maybe its the kid in me.
Also, I'm with you Richi, every time I look at a stock Audi I think of a bunch of stuff that needs to be modified [wrench]

I saw it in real life and 100% confident in saying that its ugly, but i realize that's personal opinion.
And a lot of us are not new to Audi and know the RS2 and its history. You need to understand that there is a difference between a crazy car with crazy paint, and an ordinary car with crazy paint. Ford did something similar when they brought back the Mach1 as a 'tape-n-paint' package on the Mustang.
It did nothing of consequence to the resale value of those cars, if anything, it made the drivers far more identifiable as white trash. (shut-up, I owned a 69 Mach1 and I am white trash)
'tape-n-paint' packages really do little for resale value, too, in the grand scheme of things, unless the car is 15 years old and you're target market is high school kids. Ugly colors hurt resale value more than help, no matter how unique. Go look for Audi allroads with the 'Kermit' green interiors and see what they fetch. blegh.

Honestly I bought the 2014 Nogaro just because it's a limited run and was the only year that came with RS4 wheels. I did get a steal for the car because it sat at the dealer for a while. Saw 1 out in PA selling for 55K someone on here bought it from FL. The amount of people that know this car and like it are limited and the interior color combo is a love it or hate it thing, but overall it's nice to have a car that is a little different then the others. I still love my B5 but technology and drive-train are completely different. Honestly I love the body style of the B5 a Little more then the B8.
